Projects of the Blackwood Lions Club
Lions is a community service organisation! People join Lions because they want to user their intellect, creativity, commitment and enthusiasm to get things done. This is where you can find out about the sorts of projects that your local Lions Club is doing. Like what you see? Get involved!
Emergency Medical Information Book
GREETINGS TO YOU ALL!
I would like to wish all Lions, Lioness’ and Leos a very Happy and Healthy New Year. Speaking of health, I hope you never have the need to call upon the services of your local Ambulance Service, but if you do, I hope you have your Emergency Medical Information Book filled out and stuck on the front of your refrigerator to assist them in giving you immediate assistance without having to wait until they get you to your local hospital. Extending the thought a little, what about your family and friends? Do they have a book on the front of their fridge? Knowing that Lions always have their community in mind, have you considered their needs should an Ambulance and Paramedics be called to their homes?
During the Christmas break, most Clubs have had a break and a lot of Clubs have not had a business meeting for some time, now that we are back in harness, so to speak, I would like to ask the Clubs that are not presently involved with the Emergency Medical Information Book Project to give it some serious thought and either contact me by email on firstname.lastname@example.org or visit our web site on www.emib.org.au select the Lions pulldown tab to have a look at what the project is all about.
Lions Clubs have so far distributed just over 198,000 books to members of the community which is a great effort, but please keep up the good work.
